Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This policy covers the Bedroom Coder website (roballegra.com/bedroomcoder) and the game Bedroom Coder. It is written to be read, not skimmed past: it is short because we collect very little.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Roberto Allegra, an independent developer based in Italy. For anything in this policy, contact [email protected].

This website

The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Like almost every website, the web server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, browser user-agent, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. Logs are kept briefly and then discarded, and are never used to identify or profile visitors. The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes connection data as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

The game

Bedroom Coder is a single-player game that runs entirely on your computer. It does not require an account, does not run advertising, and never sells data to anyone.

Future versions (including the demo) may ask whether you want to share optional, opt-in gameplay telemetry to help improve the game — events such as when a player first solves a puzzle, how many hints were used, or where a session ended. If this ships:

— It will be off unless you explicitly turn it on, with a clear in-game consent question before anything is sent.
— It will contain gameplay events only: no names, no emails, no content of what you type beyond the game's own puzzle state.
— You will be able to withdraw consent at any time in the game's options, and withdrawing stops all sending immediately.
— This policy will be updated with the exact event list before that version is released.

Steam

The game is distributed on Steam. Purchases, wishlists, playtime, and any Steam features (such as cloud saves or achievements, if present) are handled by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy. We receive only the aggregate, anonymous statistics Steam provides to every developer.

Email

If you write to [email protected], we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you, then it is deleted. It is never added to any mailing list.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, or erase personal data concerning you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Write to [email protected] and we will act on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

If this policy changes in any meaningful way (for example, when opt-in telemetry ships), the "last updated" date above will change and the new version will appear at this address.
